Split Ducted = A duct connected split system.

 A "reverse cycle split ducted" air conditioning system combines the features of a split system with a ducted system, offering both heating and cooling for your entire home through a network of ducts, with a central unit and multiple vents.

These units traditionally go in the roof cavity but can also be installed under the floor.

VEU Rebates - Victorian Energy Upgrades

VEU is a program that offers financial incentives to home owners to replace inefficient appliances with high efficient appliances (split systems).

Summit Heating & Cooling are an approved Installer. As the customer you don't have to do anything to receive the rebate. If eligible our quote will already have the rebate deducted and we will do the leg work to claim the rebate.

Rebates range from $150 - $5000 ask us if you're eligible.

What is zoning ?

 In HVAC, zoning refers to dividing a building into multiple areas (zones) with independent temperature control, allowing for personalized comfort and energy efficiency by directing conditioned air only to the zones that need it.

• How it works:
  • Dampers: A zoning system uses dampers in the ductwork to regulate and redirect airflow to specific zones. 
  • Thermostats: Each zone has its own thermostat, enabling independent temperature control. 
  • Control Panel: A central control panel coordinates the dampers based on the demands of each zone's thermostat.   

All manufacturers offer a minimum of 5 years parts and labor on split system when installed in a residential dwelling.

Summit Heating and Cooling offer a 6 year guarantee on workmanship.

Split ducted systems, especially those with inverter technology, are designed to be highly energy-efficient, meaning they use less electricity to produce heating or cooling compared to older technologies

A split ducted system will provide you with Heating in winter and Cooling in Summer.
